Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA)
The AALA inspects activity centres and other activity providers on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills (DfES). The aim of the licensing scheme is to provide assurances to the public about the safety of those activity providers who have been granted a licence.

Be Water Wise
Be water wise is a water safety and drowning prevention campaign.

British Mountaineering Council (BMC)

British Waterways

Chartered Institute of Environmental Health

A public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales.

Responsible for the regulation of almost all the risks to health and safety arising from work activity in Britain.

Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management
A professional body for the leisure industry and represents the interests of leisure managers of leisure.

Irish Water Safety
A statutory voluntary body which promotes water safety in Ireland.

National Water Safety Forum
This website replaced replaced the National Water Safety Committee (NWSC). Its role is to be a body in which organisations involved in water safety can participate in order to have a strong voice with the Government on water safety issues and is primarily concerned with preventative action and water safety education.

Resuscitation Council (UK)
An organisation which provides education and reference materials on effective resuscitation methods.

Royal Life Saving Society
A national charity and the UK’s governing body and leading provider of training and education in lifesaving, life guarding, water safety and life support skills.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents
A charity which provides advice on water safety.

Sports Council for Northern Ireland
A lead facilitator in the development of sport in Northern Ireland.

Sports Council for Wales
A national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and recreation in Wales.

Sport England
An organisation committed to creating opportunities for people to start, stay and succeed in sport. Provide the strategic lead for sport in England and are responsible for delivering the Government's sporting objectives.

Sport Scotland
A national agency for sport in Scotland and responsible to develop sport and physical recreation.

Swimming Teachers Association
A charity which focuses on teaching of swimming, lifesaving and survival techniques.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is a public health agency - working to ensure healthy people in a healthy world.
